Encounters comments (8/16/01):
"Every once in a while one of our hand picked dive guide/naturalists
has things happening in their lives that should stay at home,
and not be brought on our diving tours, but these very important
individuals are human. This particular trip our dive guide,
who is typically extremely fun loving and by the way our guests
favorite, had some difficulty being himself. We have decided
not to employ him again until he can do a great job for us
and add his fun loving tone to our future adventures. As far
as the time limits on the land trips: All I can say is that
there is so much to see in these enchanted islands, that one
visit may not be enough. We try to squeeze as much in every
day as the guests can take in, but it is an impossible situation.
This may explain why 23% of our Galapagos guests return for
a second visit, and 9% return for a third trip. The Galapagos
Islands have so much to offer that once is truly not enough,
and some of the sights; whale sharks and thousands of hammerheads,
and dolphins demand a second viewing...
Sincerely,
Marc Bernardi "
