This nature photography gallery is organized by subjects. Some subjects may appear in multiple areas if they fit the appropriate category.

The NEW WORK and POPULAR sidebar buttons are category specific.

If you follow a category and select either of those options, it gives you the new work or popular images from that category.

Images are keyworded and linked throughout, but it is difficult to capture all possible combinations of keywords that you may be looking for. You may want to try different combinations or less restrictive search terms.

Use your RRS reader to keep up to date with new images being added. Each gallery has a unique feed, or click the feed button at the bottom of the main gallery page for all of the latest updates.

General FAQ

Question: How do I order a print?
Answer: Click on a thumbnail image to reveal the larger version. Underneath the large version is a drop down box. Use these options to select print size, and select the button to ADD TO CART. We use Paypal to process credit cards - we do not receive your credit card information - it is a verified, safe, and very secure process. You DO NOT need an account with Paypal to pay through them, it is quite easy to use.

Question: Can I print or use your pictures?
Answer: All images on this site are copyright protected. You must ask for written persmission to use any photographs other than viewing them here.

Question: Why is there a logo over your pictures?
Answer: All images on this site are copyright protected. The logo is there simply to identify the image is owned by me. Attempts to remove it constitute an intent to violate copyright as protected by Section 1202 of the DCMA section of the Copyright Act. It does not appear on printed materials or stock images. Removal of this notice carries penalties of no less than 2,500 to a max of 25,000 US dollars.

Question: I am not finding the picture I am looking for...
Answer: Click the search button in the sidebar menu. This gallery offers extensive search capability and the ability to find by keyword.

Question: What is a lightbox used for?
Answer: A lightbox is typically what photo editors use for sorting through slides. This gallery offers the convenience of doing something similar online. By adding to a lightbox, you can collect in one area your favorite pictures perhaps to decide on a print, or images you are considering purchasing rights for.

Question: Do you prepare lightboxes for photo buyers?
Answer: YES! Image submissions can be customized to your request by preparing a special password protected gallery. I will then email you a link to the gallery and the password to access it.

Question: Do you have other compositions of posted pictures?
Answer: In many cases YES - please send an email inquiry regarding an alternate composition.

Question: What if I want a color image in Black & White?
Answer: The images shown here already in Black & White are photographs I felt looked better in B&W than color. However, any image on this site can be transformed into a Black & White, monochrome, or duotone type image. Please send an email inquiry.

Question: How are your photographs mounted when matted?
Answer: Photographs are dry mounted using acid-free tissue. This insures the image will remain flat during changing temperature and humidity conditions.

Question: How large of a print can I order?
Answer: Prints to 20x30 in. or 24x36 are not out of the question. Prints or reproductions larger than this are possible depending on the intended viewing distance. Please inquire about the specific image (using the image ID) as some may have enlargement restrictions.

Question: What if I dont like my purchase?
Answer: Every print and notecard is 100% money-back guaranteed - please visit our sales page for more info on our guarantee. Certainly view our customer testimonials to see why this probably will not happen!

Question: Do you have different color mats available other than white?
Answer: Mats in light grey, black, or dark grey are typically on hand. However, colors other than those neutral tones are not offered because it is very difficult to offer you an accurate color representation of all mat colors available. Also, if your monitor is slightly off calibration, you could end up disappointed the mat color does not match what you saw on the screen. If you do wish to have a colored mat, I recommend purchasing the print only and then purchase the mat separately at a framer or store where you can see it in person. I hope this is understandable and apologize for any inconvenience.

Question: Can I use some of your images for free?
Answer: This is a frequent request and handled on a case by case basis - but please consider the amount of time and effort is spent in nature making these images, the cost of the equipment, and the perception generated about the value of my work if it is requested as free of charge. Sometimes a trade can be arranged in special cases, but please do not inquire if your intent is to just get free images.

Question: Can I use your images as Artist Reference Photos?
Answer: Contrary to some popular beliefs and practices, making paintings or sketches from photographs can be a violation of copyright. You cannot use images on this site as reference works unless you have explicit written permission. Derivitive works are addressed within copyright laws, and artists should have mutual respect for each others work by not infringing upon it. Similarly, I could not make a photograph of a painting and then begin to sell it or reproduce it, etc. Please respect copyright laws and ask permission for such use.

Question: What type of equipment do you use?
Answer: A current list of the types of cameras, lenses, accessories, and software is listed by clicking on ABOUT at the bottom of this page, then click on the equipment section of that page.
