"When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe." - John Muir

All of my life I have been exploring the shorelines and woodlands in Michigan, finding nature in the Detroit area. Since the year 2000, I took my photography another step and began publishing and selling my work. Since then, my photographs appear in many hospitals and office buildings in the Detroit area, as well as around the state. I invite you to explore what Michigan nature has to offer in my gallery.

Michigan nature inspired wall art

As part of a drive towards evidence-based design, many Michigan hospitals and other health care facilities are adding natural themes to their interior decor. Nature's imagery has been proven to provide a calmer, tranquil atmosphere in any interior location. Please be sure to check out some of my example installations in the many Michigan hospitals and corporations.

Pictured Rocks National LakeshoreMy favorite locations are along Michigan's Great Lakes shorelines and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, as well as exploring close to my home near the Clinton River. But really it is hard to narrow it down to just a few. My photographs also highlight some of these special places and subjects:

  • Silver Lake Sand Dunes
  • Clinton River watershed landscapes
  • Lake St. Clair - especially during the winter ice flows
  • Michigan Nature Association preserves
  • Sterling Heights nature parks
  • Detroit area Metroparks, such as Stony Creek, Kensington, Indian Springs, Lake Erie Metropark
  • Beautiful Michigan wildflowers, including native orchids
