Not so funny

Ok Aaron, as much as I like your strip, you are really touching a sensitive spot here with today’s… :-)

You really know how to hit a Midwesterner where it counts buddy.   I won’t deny that perhaps a snowstorm in May can yield some interesting possibilities, but let the sensitivity from a harsh winter dull a bit will ya?

  1. Yeah, I was laughing about this as I drove back from the 14 South Artists meeting tonight – it was snowing here in south-central WI, although nothing was sticking… :^D

But hey, that’s springtime in Wisconsin!

  2. Hehe, you beat me to it! I was going to use this strip in May when the cold spell hits – it has happened almost every year so I’m not counting on being spared this year either. A lot of people emigrated from Scandinavia to Midwest back when, the climate must’ve made them feel right at home. :D

  3. How appropriate as I sit here looking out into a sea of white as yet another Spring blizzard rips through! I do like your Snowfall in May image, but I’d like it even better if I knew it wouldn’t happen here! ;-)

  4. Ouch! I have been warned that every few years we get snow here in May. Posts such as this one help me keep my perspective about the nippy temperatures and fog in April that are new to me.

  5. I used to work in Yellowstone Park. I was twice snowed on while hiking on the 4th of July! (Yes, enough to stick to the ground overnight) Being from a part of California where it snows once in 25 years, I was not sure whether this was a late spring or early fall snow.

  6. LOL…sigh…we had sleet and a few flakes of really soggy snow yesterday…will winter ever end? I’m in NJ which is usually not that extreme but this year (and last for that matter) winter did not go out without a fight. On the upside we are supposed to have a stretch of gorgeous REAL spring weather starting today…WOOT! I hope Spring comes to your neck of the woods very soon!

I remember snow maybe once in May a few years ago…I hope there is not a repeat performance this year, but nothing would surprise me.
