Certainly, this applies to many urban environments where natural spaces are an afterthought. Detroit (locally referred to as “The D“) is certainly known for some abandoned places. I wanted to look for places where nature was returning to places man denatured and later abandoned. Severing our connections to nature ultimately leads us down a self-destructive path. Allowing it back in allows the healing to take place, and our souls to be recharged.
