Bird Photography : Herons and Egrets
These wading birds are fascinating to watch from their nest building courtship rituals to skills at fishing“The sound of birds stops the noise in my mind.” ~ Carly Simon
Fine Art Nature, Landscape, Macro Photography Prints / Wall Art & Licensing
I am not so sure Carly Simon was referring to herons or egrets in this quote, as anyone familiar with their calls can resemble prehistoric-like squawks. But I will still take the racket of a heron rookery over the noise of traffic or lawnmowers any day. There are a number of heron or egret rookeries close to home, which gives me the opportunity to photograph them quite a bit (contrary to the number of images in this gallery – something I have a backlog on!)
