FL8484.jpgSometimes when I am trying to capture the characteristics that attracted me to a subject, I really just want that characteristic to be portrayed in the image. For flowers in particular, sometimes it is just the color that I am amazed by. But trying to communicate just color, and not let the actual subject ‘get in the way’ of that message can be difficult. So I went for a really abstract view of this Cosmos. Though the flower itself is rather striking, I wasn’t really after an image of the flower. I wanted the color. I hope I have effectively shown that here.
