Polka Dot Agate from Oregon

Polka Dot Agate

Polka Dot Agate Worlds RO10615

Another planet with orbiting moons and other distant planets is what I see when gazing into this piece of Polka Dot Agate. But this special agate is grounded (or ungrounded?) here on Earth, from a particular mine in Central Oregon. One can only dream of other-worldly places that may be free of the strife and conflict we have here on Earth.

The characteristic “blue ice” features of this Oregonian agate and red-brown jasper hillsides create a place perhaps more friendly than this one. But maybe a being in this place also looks up to the sky wondering what else lies on the surrounding orbs. Or maybe they just look inward, into their own oceans, their own versions of whales, and see better ways already there.

Jimmy Carter 1924-2024

Thank you, Jimmy Carter, RIP 1924-2024 While I do not have a photo of me with the former President, I do have photos that are direct results of one of his acts, the 1980 Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA), which created the Katmai National Park...

Sun Standing Still

Winter Solstice for 2023 will be arriving here in EST within a short time of this posting. I have often wondered about a world that could be united around the solstices instead of any particular religious holiday. It does celebrate something that all life on Earth has...

Color of the Year 2024 Peach Fuzz

Dear reader - I know you have been anxiously waiting. Plans held up, redecorating put on hold, perhaps holding off on that new car color all because you needed to know what exactly is going to be the color for 2024. (/s) Surprise, surprise - Pantone® did not take my...

Don’t hate me: I see the face a goofy looking newt. xD

      I’m glad I don’t see it 🙂

Do I need psychiatric help if I’m seeing viral particles and a river of blood. Perhaps a sign of the times which is hopefully nearing an end?

I would think you are predisposed to think in such terms. Ha. I do hope we are entering a state of just dealing with it now, though my county is still classified medium risk.

You’re probably right about the predisposition. All in a days work ??

I don’t know why emojis work sometimes and sometimes they don’t.

I can envision another planet and orbiting moons, but it also looks like an abstract painting one might see in a modern art display. Very interesting and attention-grabbing in any case.

Both interpretations are fine with me!

Well written and expressed. I would love to know people here on this orb both say and believe “see better ways already there.” I must say this is a very lovely piece of agate created by nature.

I wish I was a better geologist at times to understand how this agate was created and the shapes involved!
